2021 President’s “E” Award for Exports

Stamford, Conn. – November 11, 2021 – Goodway Technologies, a global leader in manufacturing and distributing innovative technology-driven maintenance cleaning and sanitation solutions, has been awarded the President’s “E” Award for Exports from the United States Department of Commerce. This is the highest honor given to U.S. exporters and acknowledges Goodway Technologies' achievement in making significant contributions to an increase in U.S. exports.

U.S. Deputy Secretary of Commerce Don Graves presented Jesus Tueme with the “E” Award during a ceremony at the U.S. Department of Commerce in Washington D.C. on November 5. Tueme is an International Sales Manager at Goodway Technologies.

“Goodway Technologies’ achievements have undoubtedly contributed to national export expansion efforts that support the U.S. economy and create American jobs,” said U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo in her congratulatory letter to the company announcing its selection. “The company’s customization of products for export markets was also particularly notable.”

For 55 years, Goodway Technologies industrial maintenance solutions have been used worldwide for commercial HVAC, facility management, manufacturing, food production, power generation, maritime, and other industrial markets. The innovative, technology-driven products help to perform routine maintenance duties faster, easier, safer, and more efficiently.

“We are proud of the hard work of everyone here at Goodway Technologies to support the continued and sustainable growth in our export sales,” said Tim Kane, president, and CEO of Goodway Technologies. “Our team has proven to be able to quickly adjust to successfully sell into the international marketplace—from product design changes to new product introductions.”

Goodway Technologies strives to exceed customer expectations by providing the best-valued products and services and continually improving upon them. Goodway Technologies equipment is exported to more than 125 countries and on every continent, including Antarctica.

In total, the Department honored 70 U.S. companies and organizations from across the country for their role in strengthening the U.S. economy by sharing American ingenuity outside of our borders.  The ceremony was held to jointly recognize awardees from 2021, (32 organizations) and 2020, (39 organizations).

In 1961, President Kennedy signed an executive order reviving the World War II “E” symbol of excellence to honor and provide recognition to America's exporters. Criteria for the award is based on four years of successive export growth in one or more international markets.

U.S. companies are nominated for the “E” Awards through the U.S. Commercial Service, the export promotion arm of the Department’s International Trade Administration. With offices in over 100 cities across the United States and in 75 markets around the world, the International Trade Administration is the premier resource for American companies competing in the global marketplace.
