In the role of the Order Entry Specialist you will part of the sales team and perform the following:

Responsibilities:

  • Processing information that comes in from email, fax & web submission and typed orders from the sales department
  • Communication with customer service ,sales & management to clarify information
  • Enter orders into a proprietary software
  • Process client orders and provide daily order update reports
  • Ability to work occasional overtime
  • Additional duties as assigned
  • In depth review and scrub of signed purchase orders for accuracy, completeness and data integrity
  • Enter signed purchase orders in the Operational Support/Billing System
  • Liaison between sales engineers and internal personnel to assist in coordination of service delivery and resolving issues
  • Develop and maintain in depth knowledge of product catalog, pricing, and promotions
  • Ensure delivery of excellent customer service through timely and accurate processing of orders, communication and coordination with other departments to resolve inquiries
  • Support the sales team in a variety of administrative tasks as required
  • Provide and assist with technical information about tools and materials

Experience and Skills:

  • Associate's Degree required and sales support experience a plus
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and organizational skills are essential
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Able to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and multi-task
  • Strong organizational, project management and interpersonal skills and a sensitivity to understand sales and customer needs
  • Previous experience within the manufacturing industry highly a plus
  • Attention to detail and highly proficient in data entry
  • Ensure excellent customer service
  • Ability to learn technical information provided in trainings
  • Flexibility and the desire to take on additional responsibility
