From Industrial Energy Efficiency to Residential Energy Efficiency

We at “Just Venting” usually talk about energy efficiency at it relates to commercial buildings (see Steps to Realizing Industrial Energy Efficiency (including HVAC). And lately, with good reason, because most of the activity in the “green” world has been relegated to commercial, retail and industrial buildings. But HVAC professionals should be aware of a new federal initiative that recognizes that there are enormous savings to be made by improving the energy efficiency in homes.  It appears the government is ready to put its money where its mouth is to the tune of $30 million.
