Digital Bore Caliper

Overview

Determining tube ID’s has usually meant searching through a manufacturers spec sheet or fumbling with some measuring device not meant for the job. HVAC tubes are generally rolled so the actual ID can only be determined by measuring a few inches inside the tube, not easy to do. Goodway’s Digital Bore Caliper does just that. Easy to use and incredibly accurate. Engineered with 6 inch calipers the DBC-100 is specifically designed for obtaining precise tube measurements every time. The spring loaded calipers apply constant pressure to assure an accuracy of +- 0.002” (0.051mm). A floating Zero allows for both relative and absolute measurements.

How It Works
Turn on the unit and set it to either inches or millimeters. Calibrate the probe by pushing the slide up until it hits the stop and then push the Zero button. With the calipers closed, insert the probe into the tube and release. The spring loaded calipers will assure the correct amount of pressure for an accurate reading. The tube’s I.D. will be displayed on the LED.
